CLASSROOM
So why did I become a teacher? Young, idealistic, burning desire to help. Very dedicated the first few years. The abysmally low salary was no real problem, living with parents.
Acquiring a husband who was lucky to get three days work a week started the change. Children accentuated it.
Now I'm like the rest of the mature set. Arrive in the morning, write the day's lesson on the blackboard and leave. My day is spent in the market, reading and writing letters.
